Across our completed WCEP cohorts, 78 graduates are generating income from digital freelancing, performance, and content creation within Eldoret and beyond.

Built To Grow Without Losing Quality.
The WCEP structure is documented, replicable, and designed to scale to new cohorts and eventually new locations across Uasin Gishu County.

Before WII I had no direction. After the WCEP program I learned video editing and now I do paid gigs for local businesses in Eldoret. My life has genuinely changed.

A Grassroots Movement, Built By Youth

Wave Impact Initiative (WII) is a community-based organization born from the streets, training grounds, and neighborhoods of Kesses, Eldoret. Founded in 2022 by young people who understood that real transformation doesn't arrive from outside — it's built from within. We don't talk about change. We run it, document it, and prove it.

We use performing arts, digital skills, and economic mentorship as entry points to address the interconnected roots of poverty: lack of education, limited livelihoods, social exclusion, and broken confidence.

Our Mission

Three Pillars of Lasting Change

We don't run projects. We build capacity — in people, communities, and systems — so that change outlives our presence.

Arts for Social Inclusion

Dance, music, and creative expression are vehicles for healing trauma, building identity, and bringing excluded youth into safe, structured community spaces.

Skills & Economic Livelihoods

We pair youth with digital skills training — video production, web design, freelancing — connecting talent to real economic opportunity and income.

Community Governance

We train youth to lead, advocate, and participate in local decision-making — building a generation of informed, capable community stewards.
